Bulzeye Scope Boosters

I am curious on the effect of the Bulzeye optical scope boosters. How much actual boost do you get from these? I see they offer what they call 3X, 3.5X and 4X. I can't believe a 3X placed on a 24 power scope will actually result in a 72 power equivalent scope. Are these number additive, ie. resulting in a 27 power scope on a 39 x if placed on a 36 power scope?

It is not that acute. Check their web site but I did buy a 3X for my brother's fixed 4X scope. He seems to think it gives about a 50% boost with no distortion or change in zero. The only down side I can imagine is the possibility of fogging on damp days but since they are removable one could clean that out easily (has not happened to us as of yet). I think they can come in handy for the odd long shot...

I bought the 4x for a Nightforce for a friend of mine but he wasn't able to use it. I also tried it and wasn't able to use it. The 4x is just too powerful for younger eyes. In Bulzeye's defense the owner told me the 4x would probably be too powerful for a person my age. Why would I listen to the man who makes the product; I'm male for goodness sakes that would be to much like right. Call Bulzeye the owner will explain how the thing works; it isn't 4x the power magnification it's more to do with the focus end of things.
