Bullet Weights

It seems that all the BR guys are shooting 100 gr +/- VLD bullets for obvious reasons. If this is so, why do the custom bullet makers only make 62's and 68's? I don't get it. Seems like a 68 would seriously reduce your effective range. Do you want to try and compete against the PPC's @ 100 yards with a 6BR?

The BR guys that are shooting 100+ bullets are not competing at short range. They are way back at the 600 and 1000 yard lines. The BR can compete at point-blank with the 65 - 70 grain bullets but the 6PPC is so much easier to shoot, almost doesn't even need a person except to set it up on the rests and jerk the trigger.;)

And there are many, many heavy custom bullets. Everything from 70 grains up to 115 grains.
