Bullet seating die choice

I was just wondering what most people prefer for bullet seating?
I need a new set of 6.5x47 dies and I can't decide between what I already know, i.e. Forster Benchrest/Ultra Seater on a co-ax press, or whether to take the opportuity to get a wilson micrometer seater and arbor press.
Any thoughts on hand dies versus the others?

I have a set of Redding competion dies and the Wilson dies, the stainless steel micrometer seating and the neck sizing die in 308. I get more consistant seating using the Wilson with the arbor press. When it comes to neck sizing or for that matter any other type of sizing operation I personally like the conventional press mounted dies.
Next new caliber the first die I would start with is the Wilson seating die.

Hope this helps, Ray

I have used the Redding Micrometer seaters for years in a Coax press, but have just recently gravitated to a K&M arbor press and have bought 2 Wilson seating dies for 2 different rifles. I have seated some bullets just last weekend in a 6MM AI Wilson die and the concentricity and uniformity of seating depth is excellent., I feel that the Wilson seating dies with an arbor press is going to wring out that last bit of uniformity that we are all looking for. I will still continue to size with my Redding S bushing dies.

I use Wilson Seating dies with Sinclair micrometer tops for my 308 and 260 boltguns, and Redding Micrometer seaters for everything else, I have noticed a slight improvement in concentricity with the Wilson made rounds V the Redding, I just like the simplicity of the Arbor press\Wilson dies.

Can only confirm what I suspect you already know, the Forster Ultra Micrometer works well. I've had no issues with low drag profile bullets, or distortion of the bullets from the seater cone. Dial settings are very repeatable.

+1 - I too have found that bullet concentricty is better (variance of .02 or less) using the Wilson bullet seating die as opposed to using my Redding Bullet Seating die where the variance was .002 - .004. For that reason, I use the Wilson Bullet seating Die using the Arbor Press in several different calibers and all shot tight groups.
