Bullet material vs. length/weight

Is there an ideal material for a projectile at a given weight/length? As an example, if one chooses to use a 30 caliber projectile at 150 grains, and they are NOT willing to increase the weight of the projectile, it appears that the mono metal bullets, such as Barnes, are more ballistically efficient (higher BC) than a similar weight lead/jacketed bullet of conventional construction.

Similarly, if you want an ultra heavy high BC bullet , at some point, materials more dense than lead appear to be superior because a lead bullet/jacketed would become too long to stabilize effectively.

I ask because I am curious about optimizing lighter bullet performance in a given caliber/cartridge

Just looking for input from Mr. Litz or others.

Thank you.

Think you will find in many instances the mono metal bullets are not as accurate as jacket bullets.
And that accuracy trumps BC to most scenario's.
