bulk winchester brass

I purchased a box of the Winchester bulk 40pcs pack of .223 rem ammo from "Wallymart" the other day just to try them out to see if they grouped at all, and the result was terrible inconsistent groups ranging from 1 1/2 inch to 3 inch groups at 100 meters!!
Other than that has anyone tried the brass for reloading or is it a factory second or what? flash holes had heavy burrs on the inside of the case and exterior finish didn't seem to be the normal look you would get from the other major manufactures.thought if anything it would be a source for cheap brass other than military.Any views on this matter?:idea:

My experience w/ Winchester brass, in .223 and .308, over the years is that it may require a little TLC to get it ready,dinged case mouths, almost require a trip thru the F/L sizing die, often a touch shorter than listed minimum trim length, but they still need trim/chamfer/deburred), but it usually shoots just fine. I had one batch a number of years ago that had some early case head separations, but it was just that one batch... no problems like that before or since.

Did you go thru and fully prep the brass, or just unbag it and load?

Winchester Brass in a 223 esp is good brass as mentioned it needs to be prepped in which all brass needs prepping.

I need to clarify what i'm asking.i purchased a 45gr loaded ammo bulk pack, shot them and found very poor results so i then started to prep the cases and found them to be fairly rough compared to other brands i've used....sorry for the confusion!!
