BSA Martini International

I am on the hunt for a BSA Martini International Mark IV or V.

The real problem is that I want a left-handed one because I am right-handed but with a very dominant left eye so I have always shot left-handed. BSA made them in true left-handed form - the action, sights and stock.

The reason for the hunt is pure nostalgia - I shot my first 'possible' with a Mark V.

I am not bothered about wood condition - I will get it re-stocked.

There must be an unloved and no-longer-used one lurking in someone's gun cabinet,or in a club armoury) somewhere!

I happen to be in England but I can organise shipment from the US if necessary.

MT Guns in Santa Barbara,a 6mmbr.com advertiser) has a huge inventory, dozens at least) of various models of the BSA. I was in their building last year and got to see several different models. Mac is importing them in a huge way, probably the best thing that could happen to preserve these fine rifles before they are sent to the chop saw by our cousins across the pond...

Call Mac Tilton at,805) 720-7720 or email at mtguns@earthlink.net

I sent a note to Mac at MT Guns and he has a left-hand Mk V! I have asked him for a photo.

V. frustrating that these end up on the US side of the pond and I have to hunt there to get one back :).

If we keep up the stupidity that is pervasive in this country, you might have to find them in some third world country before too long,or else we will be a third world country...)

In the meantime, Mac has a real treasure trove of nice target rifles at really reasonable prices. He is a shooter, and you can trust him to treat you right.

DW
