Watch for a red flash of light that last for at least one second. It is at the tree line at 800 yards on right side. I reapeat four times but my group was on the edge of plate and the 5th shot went high on plate. My fingers were so cold I did not was to dial in any elevation adjustment so shot 5 went just off plate. This thing is so cool. Going to be a great gimic at 1400 and 2000 yards

They are great! Gotta love flashing targets

Pro-Tip :) Make sure you clean the steel really good with acetone or something, let it dry. Attach the velcro to the steel and let it cure for 24+ hours it you can. The only problems we ever had was the velcro adhesive falling off the plate.

And this works how, please?

Total unit in one unit similar to a dog shock collar.
Just glue a Velcro strip to the top of a plate or side. Tape About half inch from top of plate. A inch of clear rubbery strip will stick up above which serves as the flasher u see.
If a bullet happens to hit the rubber bulb it passes right through the rubber with no damage. They ship an extra bulb.

They were beta testing the prototype at Best of the West shooting range when I first encountered one. They'd put them on one steel target at 500 yds and another at 1000 yds. First time I hit it and it flashed red I'd thought I'd started a fire. But quickly figured out that it was some kind of red flashy thing.

Not long after that when talking to the tech at the Magnetospeed factory here in Austin, he asked where I shoot and then told me about a new product he was testing, and as it turned out I gave him his first field report on how it was working.

It's triggered by acoustics, so he was pleased that I was shooting a 223 and triggering it reliably. The biggest challenge he had was making it visible yet not likely to get shot off.
