Brux Barrels

Re: Burx Barrels

I am a dealer for them and use them myself. I feel they are as good as any out there and I have used alot of brands. DG

My best freind whom I talked into trying one ordered a 45 cal muzzle loader barrel. We made it smokeless and at 100 yds it shoots well under an inch with parker bullets and at 300 it shot under 2 inches on a windy day. That barrel was so nice looking inside I have never scoped a better looking barrel ever. They are tops.

I currently have a full bull 220 Beggs, 14 twist on my Unlimted UBR rifle. It is without a doubt the most accurate barrel I've owned. I might add that the barrel was bought with about 800 rounds on it and was rechambered by a friend who had only chambered one barrel before this one. I also have a .222 that is extremely accurate. They are my first choice in .224 barrels.

I have used them for years and have had excellent results, great shooting barrels and fantastic guys to deal with. JohnDunbar

+1 on all of the above. I have one in 7mm and use for Silhouette. Shoots lights out and the easiest barrel to clean I ever had.

+1 First barrel brand my smith recommends, but they are starting to get real popular so a little more difficult to get!!

I would say maybe the Bartlein and Kreiger's may shoot as good as the Brux. My only problem with the Brux is i can't wear them out, they just keep shooting good...... jim

I own a 22 caliber Brux barrel chambered in 22-6mm Remington that shoots 3-shot groups in the 3s and 5-shot groups in the 4s at 300 yards with Berger 70gr VLDs at 3645 FPS. I'm threatening to re-chamber the barrel to a smaller case just to preserve the barrel.

They are some of the best barrels and people i have delt with. That is pretty much all i ever order and use anymore.

I've got one on a 9 twist 6br. It's the most accurate rifle that I own. The brux barrels are on par with any krieger or bartlien. My friend/gunsmith builds smokeless muzzleloaders with brux barrels after a complication with krieger. I have yet to see one not shoot under 1/2". I help them work with them and work up loads. We've had quite a few that shoot around 1" @ 500yds. They are one of the best.

I put one on my new Edge build. 4 shot break in!!! Just did a cleanup after 50 rounds. 3 wet patches of Butches and a few strokes with a brush. After a few dry patches to clear the mung out I patched in a little Sweets copper cleaner. 15 min later the patch came out pure white. Not sure if I even needed to brush.

Accuracy wise it shoots great. I shot only two groups after an abreiveated load develpoment ..at 300 yards. 1.1 inches and 0.5 inches for a .8 inch agg...good enough for me!! The next 50 shots were happily shot at steel ranging from 517 to 1497 yards.

I just got another one for a friends build...took about 3 months.
