I valled the good people at brux barrels today to see if they could help me out with a barrel. They had a HV 6mm 31' long in a 8.5 twist. I took the barrel for 285 buck. I have never had a 8.5 twist before so i am wondering how heavy of a bullet i will be able to shoot? I am hoping i can shoot a 105 berger. what do you think? Lee

You should be fine unless you are going to run them very slow. What caliber and what range will you be shooting? If you have any doubts, leave the barrel as long as you can for the few extra fps you'll get.

Be sure to give the 108 Berger Bt's a try in the 8.5' twist barrel. That very combination of a 8.5' twist Brux barrel and 108 Bergers was what I shot in competition last year for a very good year for me .

Good luck,
Rodney

thats funny as i just got done ordering some from sinclair. thanks man!! lee

WOW,

the gent who stated you should run 'heavy' [105] bullet slow in an 8.5 twt.

THAT'S exactly opp. of what i've heard and exp. in both 30 cal and 6.5.

THE FASTER THE TWT, THE FASTER YOU PUSH THE HEAVY BULLET.

will contact ken L. at brux tomorrow.
