Browning FN A5 question need help

I just received an older Browning FN sweet 16 auto. Beautiful shotgun. I did use google and couldn't find a solid answer. Can I change this to a 20 gauge by simply swapping the barrel. Thanks for any help. The reason is the price and availability of shells of course.

No, to just swapping the Bbl on your A5.

Purchasing a Rem 870 in 20Ga would be cheaper than purchasing an A5 Bbl & bolt.

copy that brother thank you very much. I did some searching and the 16 shells are not too difficult to get just have to buy them when I see them.....or sell the A5 with 2 barrels lol.

My dad has that same Sweet 16, I guess I will inherit it in a few years.
I love that shotgun.... It is fun to shoot and handles great. But I sure wish it was a 20 gauge for the same reason as you noted.
Stock up on 16s when you can find them and enjoy it, that is my plan.

This think came in a heavy duty hard leather case line with sheeps wool and two barrels.....it was USED lol not a safe queen but still cool. Im gonna shoot the hell out of it
