Browning BBR stocks: same as A-Bolt?

Adam in WI

I'd like to find a replacement stock for a short action Browning BBR. Not the Mauser style BBR, but the 9 lug predecessor of the A-Bolt II. Does anyone know if the stocks are interchangeable? A-Bolt stocks seem to come up often enough. I'd like an extra to have one with a shorter length of pull.

Thanks

No, they are not the same. In fact, the only real similarities are that they are both marked "Browning", and they use a similar magazine system. The BBR stocks belong to one of two groups: the ones which have broken, and the ones which have not broken yet. You can get stocks from Richards Microfit. Be advised though, "MicroFit" is only a figure of speech. Plan on a bit of work. WH,
