Hey guys. Ran into a little problem at the range yesterday. Last year I bought an older Weaver classic v 2-10x50. I put it on my REM 700 308 and sighted it in for deer season. It sighted in great and I used it hunting and it had been in the safe since. I took it out to zero it at 200yds instead of 100 and I found I needed to put a couple clicks of windage on it. Upon doing so I discovered that the windage dial is stripped out so when it turns nothing happens with the reticle. It's strange to me because the last time I used it both windage and elevation worked just fine and it hadn't been touched since.
Anyways I guess it doesn't really matter how it happened and will remain a mystery. My question is: Does anyone know if Weaver will fix this for me? I'm not the original owner of the scope and they don't make this particular model anymore.
