Hi All,

Boy, I wish I could be a weather guesser and get paid for being wrong. Well, maybe not ‘wrong’ as it did get up to near 60 degrees, just a lot later than the forecast…

Anyway, we had 32 shooters on the line today –a pretty nice turnout for a cold and blustery day! Thank you all for coming out to play.

First, the Thank You notes. A big thanks to Madonna and Steve P, for help with setting up the pits yesterday afternoon.
Also a big thanks to all of you for helping SO well with setup and teardown of the targets; super-smooth and darned quick to boot.

Last, but not least, a big thanks to Nikki and George for all they do to keep the range maintained and in good working order, and to Nikki for getting results tabulated before you head out the gate.

Also, a welcome to ‘new to us’ shooters Sam Abbe (welcome back!) and Don Vetter (just plain welcome). Hope you had fun, and will come back and shoot with us again soon.

OK, on to the results…

Over on the sling side, Jon Howell had a hot day in the cold weather, firing a nice 599-36X with his trusty 223 Palma rifle.

Right behind him (as Jon was quick to note…) was Joe Fogg, who fired a nice 598-32X with his 308 Palma rifle. Well done, Guys!!

It’s nice (to me) to see more Palma rifles on the line –those iron sights aren’t dead yet!

In F-Open, Mike Drass took the ‘W’, firing a nice 597-34X. Right behind him was Andy Amber, who fired a nice 596-35X, and right behind him was Mike Eash at 596-34X. Pretty tight up there in F-Open land…

In F-T/R, Todd Strasavich led the pack, firing a pretty darned good 594-23X for the ‘W’. Well done, Todd! Right behind him was Josh Driessen at 593-25X. Nicely done, guys!

It is also nice (again, to me) to see more F-T/R rifles on the line –we had 7 of them out today –you guys need to recruit some more folks to shoot T/R!

Our next match (weather permitting) will be a Long-Range affair on April 25th -27th , with a Friday practice, a Palma Plus 20 shots at 1000 yards on Saturday, and a plain vanilla 3 x 1000 on Sunday.

This match aggregate qualifies for V2 Points, so get your F-Class pals out to shoot with us.

As always, if you find any errors in the Match Results, please let me know, and I will do my best to get them fixed up.

Results are posted on the Bridgeville website: https://brpc-de.com/high-power-rifle/ and are also attached.

Hope to see you next time,

Frank
