The Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club (Bridgeville, Delaware) will be hosting a Long-Range Weekend, May 23rd-25th.

Also, ANY rifle shooters will be allowed to shoot out of competition up to range capacity.

Sunday, May 25th will feature a plain vanilla 3 x 1000 yard Long-Range Match.

As always, you may PM me to pre-register.

Hope to see you on the line,

Well, that was fun! A Long-Range Fullbore and a Long-Range Prone match all in the same weekend! And what a weekend it was –very pleasant temps, beautiful sunshiny skies, and friends on the firing line.

Not too bad, in my opinion.

As always, a HUGE thank you to George and Nikki for taking care of so many jobs on the range, so we can have a nice place to shoot –it is MUCH appreciated!

And, again as always, an equally big Thank You to everyone who helps with setup and teardown of the targets, computers, and all the rest. We couldn’t get it done without your help.

OK, OK, I know you want to see the scores…

These should be good to go, but if you notice an error, in score, spelling, classification, or anything else, please let me know and I will do my best to rectify the problem.

Results will be posted to the club website shortly, too.

First, our Saturday Fullbore results. We had 24 Fullbore shooters on the line –enough for one very full relay with our 12 targets, and a nice test of space on the line and other things in preparation for our National Match later this year.

Anyway, in F-T/R, Todd Strasavich racked up a pretty nice 628-15X for the category win. Well done, Todd! Close on his heels was Jim Crofts, firing a nice 627-20X –also, good shooting! Josh Driessen (Master) was only a little bit back, popping out a nice 623-19X. Nice going Josh!

Over in F-Open, Matt Basalla took the win, firing a nice 640-32X (out of 650 possible) including a clean at 800 yards (150-10X). Other 800 yard cleans included Henry Ferris (150-13X) and Ernie Bennett (150-11X) Nice shooting, guys!

Anyway, just behind Matt, Dave Kokoszka took second in F-Open, firing a 638-25X, with Gwen Basalla juuuuuust behind him at 637-24X.

On the sling side of things, Jon Howell (it seems like I have seen that name before…) took the W, firing a 638-22X with his trusty .223 Rem. Nice shooting, Jon! Only a little bit farther back was Jerry McDonough, who fired a nice 635-24X. Joe Fogg put in a nice performance too, firing a 629-16X. Nice shooting guys!

Shifting gears just a little bit, we also had a ‘plain vanilla’ 3 x 20 x 1000 yard long-range match on Sunday and we picked up a few shooters, with 31 folks on the firing line.

On the sling side, in Any Rifle, Madonna Nedza had a pretty good day, taking the lead with a 576-16X and edging out Walt Schmidlin by 3 whole X’s (576-13X). Nice going, both of you!

In the world of Palma, Jason Epperly had a great day, firing a 591-25X for the ‘W’. Nice going, Jason!! Riiiiiigght behind him (and only by a few X’s), was Joe Fogg, who fired an also nice 591-17X for the ‘1’. Jerry McDonough was only just a tiny bit back at 589-23X. Well done, gents!

In F-Open, Gwen Basalla was kicking butt and taking names today, firing a nice 594-29X for the ‘W’, and firing the only 1000 yard clean of the weekend, a nice 200-13X. Well done, Gwen! Ernie Bennett was pretty close, only two points behind Gwen at 592-29X and Matt Basalla was only one additional point back at 591-23X. Great shooting, folks!!

I want to thank everyone for coming out and shooting with us, and remind everyone that June is ‘State Championship Month’ –we will have our Delaware Mid-Range State Championship Match on June 14th and 15th (all at 600 yards), and our Delaware Long-Range State Championship on June 28th and 29th, all at 1,000 yards. I hope to see you on the firing line for these matches –watch your email for pre-registration details.

Results, again will be posted on the Club website soon; https://brpc-de.com/2025-high-power-match-results/

And, your targets are already on the Hexta website; https://shooting.hexsystems.com.au/club/329
