Ok. this is what I got and this is what I want. I've got an Olympic Arms 5.56 short bull barrel, chrome moly, 1x8 twist, Bushmaster, .223/5.56 20" barrel, light), 1x8 twist, DPMS .223, 1x9 twist, 24" ss heavy barrel. Two + DPMS .308, 24" 1x10 twist ss heavy barrels. Thats what I got. This is what I want. Accurracy from muzzle to long range. Stable bullet flight, no tumbling etc. I happen to believe that a shot that dosn't hit the intended target is pretty useless unless you like loud noises

If I shoot in a target competition I would like to hit my target as close to the X as possible with as small of groups as possible. In hunting and PD I would like for my intended target to go down with one shot and stay down. I guess you could say I have a "stop it in it's tracks" mentality  . If it's alive and I didn't want to kill it I wouldn't shoot it in the first place

. I shoot for keeps not for fun. Can't afford the latter. I don't want to shoot a hole through it and see it run off. I guess you could say I would like a quick kill first and a clean kill second. With this information I would like all your opinions on brass, primers, powder, bullets, hunting, FPD, target, and any combination of any and all of the above, type etc. etc. etc.) of these to best meet my needs. I just thought the military brass would be of better quality,I thought the NATO headstamp was thicker walled and would maybe give me more reloads

) than other brass. But then maybe it's just ment to be shot once. Actually what I would like to have is 1 .223/5.56 load and 1 .308 load that would be suitable for all of the things I mentioned. As far as cost i don't shoot all that much. I intend to shoot mostly to keep up my shooting skills, develope highly accurate loads, put food on the table, control the coyote and wild hog populations. That is what I am actually trying to accomplish.
