Brass question

Just got my barrel back from the gunsmith where it was rechambered from a 204 Ruger to a 20 Practical.
Using new Lapua 223 brass, turned to knock off the high spots and run thru .233 and .228 bushings.

Loaded with 24gr Reloader 10 and 39 gr sierras and Rem 71/2

Brass comes out with a shiny ring right at the shoulder.

Case shoulder was 1.454 as measured out of the box with a Hornady gage, and it was 1.457 after it was fired.
Is that where the shiny ring came from, the .003 growth at the shoulder?
Case OAL actually shortened a little also. About .002
Otherwise, the fireformed case looks just like it shouild.

Just want to make sure I don't blow myself up

Thanks
Tony

Oh yeah, if you want to share some recipes that would be cool also.

a shiny ring at the shoulder is usually a pretty good indication of high pressures. Trying backing off the load some and see if it goes away.

We always get the shiny ring where the shoulder was when fire forming PPC and when making dashers out of 6br brass. It goes away when we tumble the cases after the first firing. JF
