I currently'roll my own' small primer Lapua brass for a 6.5 Creedmoor and, using Wolf SRM or CCI BR-4 primers, the pockets are as tight as the second loading on round 11 with the exception of a few cases where I was testing max loads of Varget and Rl-16 (HOT loads!!!). On these handfull of cases the primer pockets loosened up a little...just noticeable but much better than Hornady brass with warm loads on load 2. On the other hand, Lapua large primer 'roll your owns' faired about the same at 6 loads...then I switched to the small primer brass so I can't say the large primer Lapua brass was not as durable; I did not give it as many reloads.I was going to chamber in 6.5x47 because of small pockets but now lapua is doing small in 6.5 creedmoor. Do you think brass life would be about the same?
