Brass catcher $25

I decided I needed a brass catcher, as I'm about to start testing my 600yd ammo with Lapua cases, and to police my brass in general. The one I saw for sale online was $60, and I couldn't justify it, so I made one out of 3/4" PVC, parachute cord, and some nylon mesh from the fabric store, all for about $25. It's 16 by 20" and I put it on a photographic light stand for bench shooting. I have a cast iron base I'll adapt it to for prone. I posted this to give ideas to others. Tell me what you think.

Just take an old bath tower secure both corners to the ends of the scope with rubber bands, either secure the other end under the rifle, either under the rest ,bag, or just tucked under the rifle, leaving enough to form a "bag"

Nice. I've been thinking about something similar but in an "L" shape and possibly folding. At my home practice range, I made a rough one by driving some stakes in the ground and stapling weed barrier to it. (hey, it's what I had laying around) It was L shaped so that it caught brass from my AR as well as M1A/M1's. It caught brass very well... too well. The hot brass stuck to the nylon mesh. Back to the drawing board. LOL.
