I've had this same issue with my latest batch of Proshot and Butches patches. Solvent just beads up. I'm running low on the good ones.Last batch I got wouldn’t absorb cleaning solution, just beaded up or rolled off. Pretty much useless unless you soaked them.
I had that same issue with a variety of of patches including BoreTech’s own and now I just add a touch of CLP to the center of patch where the jag comes through and then the other {water based BoreTech stuff} goes right in…. acts like a wetting agent.Last batch I got wouldn’t absorb cleaning solution, just beaded up or rolled off. Pretty much useless unless you soaked them.
Placed an order before Christmas. Just got shipping notification today. Very slow shipping in my opinion.Has anyone successfully bought and received any of these lately? Like in the last couple of months? Thanks in advance. WD
I do the same. Bought a huge box of them at a gun show. They were called "government surplus". 2x2 squares i cut down to whatever size i need. Still have 2 or 3 thousand. Wish I'd bought another box full as cheap as they were!I cut 2" square patches diagonal.
Gives me twice the patches and works somewhat like the triangle ones just does not have the fancy tip shapes.
IMHO. Works great for my 6mm. Just right. YMMV
I cut them into 4ths for 22 use.
Mine is scheduled to deliver today as well.Follow up....... Ordered on Jan. 14th, received the order today 1/20/26 along with some samples of other patches they make and a 15ml bottle of sample gun oil. Good service considering it was USPS delivered.
Thanks again for you folk's help. WD
