Borden TPE, LBRP

Has anyone seen a Borden TPE LBRP rifle?

Better yet, shot or owned?

Jim built me a standard high power silhouette rifle with a left bolt and port TPE action with Hart barrel and Jewell trigger years ago. I still own the rifle. After years and years of competition shooting, my biggest surprise is the barrel still shoots extremely well. I’ve been tempted to rebarrel this rifle many times but it ain’t broke so I’m not gonna fix it.

I've owned a couple and worked with several. Very good action but I think Jim would tell you the Rimrock is an improvement over the TPE. Mainly a slight timing issue regarding the ramps at the integral lugs vs the cocking cam at the firing pin and bolt handle. Not bad but Jim is a perfectionist and the Rimrock addressed this. It's really hard to beat Jim's stuff. Nothing wrong with a Bat or Kelbly but my first choice among several very good actions on the market today, is the Borden.

Is there a particular reason you're looking for a TPE, specifically, Steve? You do see them come up for sale from time to time.

It was fine, but IMHO would go with his current actions hands down……they’re better, have 2-3 buddies shooting Rimrocks……everybody loves them.

I own a brmxd dual port. And a timberline left bolt right port. It is lovely. 6.5x47 tactical rifle. Jim IS the man.

I didn't find a LBRPLE TPE but I found a LBRPLE BAT S, and an M.

Later I found a Rimrock LBRPLE. Haven't decided what to do with it.
