Borden 'BIG' knob

Guys,

Im about to order a Rimrock BRM in RBLPRE for a LR BR gun.

I can't decide whether to go for the standard bolt knob or the big one?

I appreciate a lot can come down to individual preference but I would welcome any thoughts on functionality in regard to its intended use, it would be a real shame to order one only to find later I hadnt considered something that should have sent me the other way.

I'd go big knob for a NRA cross the course gun, where you need to do rapids, but personally I wouldn't go with a big knob for anything that's not going to be rapid fired. I like sleek and understated. YMMV.

For slow fire I agree that there is no need for the larger knob; the two Borden actions I have are very smooth and easy to cycle with the standard knob even with a stiffer replacement firing pin spring.

I wouldn't mind a bit longer handle, the small knob is fine. It's not a hunting action, the extra length would make bolt lift that much better.

Thanks for your thoughts guys but its now a decision I dont have to make, the Rimrock actions only come with the smaller handle, the big bolt knob isn't an option.
