boosted Leupold

Was there other people that boosted variable Leupold scopes, other than Dick Thomas? I have a boosted Leupold, 20x50x40mm. It does not say Premier. Could it be a very early one? It is very clear and accurate, front focusing. Any information would be appreciated. nilebartram

Some have done fixed power Leupolds but I think Premier was the only one who did variable power models.

My first Dick Thomas modified 6.5-20x40mm LRT only had 18-40 on the booster (in front of eye piece), bought it around 1993...he would make you what you wanted back then......

When you say front focus do you mean on the main tube behind the front bell (early benchrest prototypes and moving target scopes) or like a standard EFR scope with Adjustable Objective?

I have since sold all mine do to the lack of repair service available, no one would repair one without first rendering the booster in operational so it could not be reinstalled. Switched to Sightron, same top end power, better field of view and 1/8 moa adjustments, only down side is I miss the 90 moa of vertical adjusment....
