SELLING Bona Fide Fly Killer!! 223AI Custom SS Rem 700

JUST IN TIME FOR PRAIRIE DOG SEASON!! This custom 223AI slayed a Fly on its 16th shot. Trophy target will be included with rifle. We all try but it’s hard to get proof sometimes but this fly must have been full because he blew all over the target!
Rifle is a low round count SS Rem700. 223Ackley Imp, 24”, 1/8 twist, LV contour, muzzle threaded 5/8-24” w/seamless cap, trigger-tech trigger set at 1lb, weighs 9.5lbs as pictured, HS Precision Stock, satin finish fine ceramic bead blast finish, threaded(5/16” stud-style) bolt handle with 416ss bolt knob, 20moa Leupold rail. I have the factory sporter barrel that I chambered at the same time and used it to fire form 104 pieces of RWS brass.

I was planning to shoot prairie dogs with this rifle last year but it was a bad year and I never got out with it. I fired it exactly 16 times. I fired a few setting up the scope and then the last 9 shots are shown on the target; 5 shot group .42-.45”, adjusted scope, fired 2 more and then the fly landed on the target, aimed and fired 1 shot/one kill lol. That was the last shot fired and the last bullet I had with. I was checking how the 60gr TMKs might shoot before loading more.
Keep in mind, I did no other load development! I guy has to know when to quit while he’s ahead!! I just picked a comfortable XBR8208 load and went with that. (3283fps was average of the test loads)
I have to thin a few guns out this year and since this one is basically new, it’s one I’m going to sell.
$1800 plus shipping to your FFL. Includes brass and we can discuss shipping that separately. Will ship from Gillette, WY. I’m falling behind of what payment methods are out there but I can likely accept most.

I'm an OCD perfectionist nut with barrel threading believing everything is an accuracy contributor
Whoever did your barrel "Does Very Nice work"
Thank you. I do all my own work.
A nice gentlemen pointed out that I mislabeled one of those targets. One says 243AI lol. That’s one of my favorites too. Always need one around. Please disregard that, that was shot with this 223AI

Nice to see others pay as much attention to small details like that, when some say it don't really matter.
When a customer screws on a device and it feels like the threads are on ball bearings
......It's what makes a custom rifle "Truly Custom"
I bet all your rifles shoot that well

One of my favorite calibers. I have too many of them, or I would consider adding it to the stable.

I understand. I’m in a culling stage right now. Every few years I “build too many” and have to thin back. But that’s what’s fun, trying something different to keep it interesting. I’ll build something, shoot it a little bit, admire it for a bit and then move on to another one. I think I have about 60 reamers and the same amount of dies lol. Gonna be a good auction when I kick the bucket

I read through twice but didn’t see who barrel manufacturer is. My apologies if I missed it. So comes with two barrels?

Sorry, barrel make was not listed. It’s a Wilson Arms LV contour barrel. Cut to 24” length. 1:8t. I’ve had great luck with them.
I’ll include the OEM fire form barrel with full price. When shipping, I’ll ship the stock, form barrel and brass in a separate package.

Horse fly or house fly? Makes about .250 moa difference. Lol. Joking but nice piece.
Repeater or plate?

It was a big Boone and Crocket Bull fly! You’re right though, it does make a difference. But you gotta take credit when you can.
