hello i got a 22 250 and with starting loads and up i cant get the rounds out i have tryed new brass differnt powders cant make it work got enay ideas thanks

Hi Joey,
What does the brass look like after you extract it? What make and model rifle are we talking about here? What type and weight bullets are you using? Lets start with these questions first.

it is a savage modle 12 its the limited run they made with boyds thumbhole and buled.it has the 26 inch barrle with 1-12 twists. the last rounds i loaded yesterday was with winchester brass and varget powder at 33 grains with 55 grain berger varmint .02 off the lands with cci br primers. a couple pices of the brass has black back past the sholder but most are clean excepet a little around the neck. on the primer end the headstamp looks like bran new not shinny and primers are still rounded. i have been useing lee collet dies . ihave tryed 40 and 50 grain bullets

So the bolt is hard to open and the cases difficult to remove from chamber?

Have you tried factory ammo to see how that does?

Do you remove ALL lubricant from cases,make sure they are dry) and from the chamber?

Checked case OAL?

Measure some cases before and after firing and post here. Look for any excess expansion or lengthening.

If the bolt is still hard to open even when using factory ammo you might want to have your rifle looked at by a gunsmith. I suspect internal damage. DWM Jr.

hay thanks for your time . i didnt get a chance to try much kind of mad at it put a nice scratch on my new leupold. but i tock it to the gunsmith today to make it a ackley and bed it and get it to working if it dont work and shoot its going to be a 6 br. thanks
