Bolt on weight system

Hi guys, not sure where to put this but does anyone know of a bolt on weight (think MDT mlok weights) that will bolt directly onto the same place an L2 picatinny rail would mount?

Im trying to mount weight to the front of a KRG Bravo that has the aluminum ARCA forend on it.

Just a thought, I am experimenting with this using a cheap scope ring to mount various lengths of steel and brass rod to the Picatinny rail on the front of my rifle. If I find a particular weight and position that helps significantly, I'll cut a dedicated brass rod and a quality ring that matches my rings up top.

I did the same thing!

I used a Lancaster Archery ballast weight attached to the picatinny on the front of the stock.

Its about the cheapest system I could come up with.

I'm hoping to find a cheap alternative to the MDT style system. Or just make one!

Thank you!

Wouldn't that be in the way while using the rifle? You wouldn't mount it to the bottom as it would cause issues shooting off props and on the sides it could be an issue if moving in and out of smaller holes or on certain props. You have a picture of your set up?

Thus far it hasn't been. I'm sure there is a situation where it'd be in the way. I don't have a pic right now but I'll try to explain it

I attached a picatinny rail to the front swivel stud.

I attached my Atlas bipod as far back on the rail as I could.

I attached the ring and weights in front of the bipod on the same rail.

The legs still fold up and around the weights so it takes up no more room than the bipod does folded up.

I have since replaced the setup with an arca rail for the Bravo chassis but use the weight system on my practice setup.

I'll post a picture later on of the whole thing.

Alrighty here it is.
Quick detach scope ring holding two Lancaster Archery ballast weights. It’s attached to the picatinny rail in front of the bipod.

When the bipod is folded up it’s not anymore in the way than the bipod.

Wehn shooting prone it looks odd but is not in the way.

Obviously there are better looking ways to do this type of thing with the likes of the KRG weight made for the front of the stock or the bolt on MDT weights but I had all this stuff and wanted to be different I guess.

Why are most people adding weight to their PRS rifles? What is the benefit of a heavier rifle?

If you want a heavier rifle, just put on a heavier barrel. On AR service rifles before lead cuffs were available, stick-on wheel weights were put inside the hand guards.
