Bolt knob jigs

I've posted these on a couple of other forums, so might as well share them here as well. I bought a South Bend lathe a year ago and it's turned into quite an addictive hobby. Now everything I own has a bolt knob and muzzle brake.
First one I tried was for Savage centerfire bolt handles.

I turn off the old knob and thread the stub 3/8-24

Here's my other jig that happened to work out for Rem. 700 short actions (my lathe isn't big enough to spin long action Rem bolts) and I modified it to work with Savage rimfires.

Thanks. The screw is just a preventative measure to make sure the handle stays put. I know of 3 of them that have come off in the last couple of years. Your bolt fluting looks very nice as well.

I added a 3/16" shim and the Rem 700 jig works for Win. Model 70 bolts as well.

Sweet, Mike. If I still have my long range 243 wssm (Win 70) when I get back to Ohio, I think I will have you make the #5 pictured one. But I think I would prefer it a tad shorter and skinnier.
