bolt disasembly

Can any 1 give me instructions or websites to rip apart a k98 Mauser bolt so I can install a new extractor.Any help is appreciated.

i dont know how "mechanicaly advanced" that you might be, but i took mine apart just by studying it. i couldnt find a website or nothing so i just started to carefully take apart. after i got one piece off, i would put it back together. then i would go one more part further, and then put all the way back together. eventualy, it comes apart and goes back together without any left over parts if you dont feel comfortable with that, i would wait until someone else can really in depthly explain it to ya. if i can find anything else, ill let ya know. brian.

shows step by step on how to disassemble and re assemble.

There are many books on Mauser rifles. Dunlap and Oltsen come to mind right off. Even the Numric Arms catalog has drawings.

No real need to rip it apart, just slide the extractor off of the ring that holds it on and slide the new one on.....
