Bolt Diameter

I have a new Defiance bolt that is about .005" larger that I wish it was. Is there someone here that can cut or grind .005" off the diameter of a fluted bolt?

Hmm, .002" total clearance is a good number for a steel action and bolt. Aluminum action maybe .004" at most. So unless your bolt is too big to fit in your action, reducing it .005" will give a very sloppy fit and poor accuracy and potentially trigger issues.

Didn’t think of that.
I have never had to turn a bolt down unless it involved sleeving it.
If he post a picture, I could see if I could turn the body down.
It has to already be relived between the lugs and in way of the bolt handle if the action body is full diameter all the way back past the tang.
