bolt change

Hi guys.

I have a question.
If I change the bolt of my XXX custon action( where the manufacturer inform that the bolt to receiver fit is .004" to .006") and replace it with one of David Kiff bolt and the fit becomes .001" to .0015". The question is : Will this change turn my "hunter" action into a "BR action"?
I ask this as i believe(may be wrong) that the action is true and square.

If you are referring to IBS or, NBRSA Hunter class rules. There are no rules governing the fit of the bolt. Other disciplines may have rules about this.

I think I expressed it badly, sorry, english isn´t my language :-[
I am referring to tolerances question. Seens to me that one factor that determines if the action is more suitable for hunting rifle or BR rifle is the close fit between the bolt and the body. So my question about changing the bolt.
Probably I ain´t a good shooter to see the difference in the target, but i am curious anyway... ;D

I understand your question know myself....and I too wonder the same thing.

Maybe some one could chime in on this.

I'm in the beging stages of a build I'm trying to do myself, new (to me) lathe & miller, just starting on tooling for "trueing receiver and bolt.

if i understand the question correctly . if your are shooting this rifle i what would be considered factory class. to alter the bolt in anyway makes it br or custom class i would think that also goes for replacing the bolt . just what i have been told not offical. T.R.
