SELLING Bog Deathgrip Tripod Ball Head Kit

Explain to me. I spend most of my shooting, aside from load work; hunting Rockchucks and the occasional stray Coyote that comes in sight. Question: will this work with a 3" wide fore end? None of my live varmint rifles will weigh more than 15-18 pounds. I am just not sure I see this holding one of my rifles properly. I was going to make a U-shaped channel out of a section of 2x8 and drill a hole thru it to hold it on the tripod.

thanks,

ISS

You shouldn't have any issues. Thats well within the weight range of the ballhead. The only concern would be the saddle. I think that only opens up to 2.8". You would either have to position it in the saddle on a smaller portion of the forend or you would have to get an arca rail for the forend so it can clamp right into the ball head.
