Who do you guys use and what is their price range? Used Mel Doyle for years but he gave it up last December. Got two or three that need a new look! Thanks Gat

Gargoyle, the 'secret' to 1st class bluing, hot caustic or slow rust, is in the polishing, the preparation and cleanliness. That is where the cost is, also. Proper and flawless metal polishing takes time and skill. These days, everything happens fast! Not many are willing to take the time and apply the effort to do a 1st class, professional job in todays world. It's like stock making by hand from a blank, or hand 'tuning' the feed rails with a file and stones and fitting an extractor on a CRF action. Few want to take the time for that!
