Bluing a Chrome Moly bolt handle

My project Rem 700 will be getting a PTG bolt. The action blue is perfect and I'd like to have the bolt handle blued to match. Any suggestions how to accomplish this without polishing the bolt spirals and opening up the fitting job my gunsmith has done. The handle will be attached via pins and silver solder.

Thanks,

Do you think I can approximate the factory gloss blue with rust bluing from Brownell's?

Appreciate the help.

Powder coating is for motorcycle frames. It just doesn't look like blueing - and I like the look of a blued gun - call me old fashioned.

You're Old Fashioned! ;) Get it as smooth as you can. The smoother the better. Try the cold blue on the bottom where it can't be seen till you get the match you want.
