Blue Printing Question

Hi Guys,

I'm considering having a a custom build for a new .338LM. Still lurking about
different companies and which components to go with.

Anyway, I've read where some companies will "blue print" the rifle during the
fabrication process and other say it's not necessary.

What are your thought on this? Necessary or not?

Thanks.

Custom build: get a custom action and then blueprinting should not be needed. If you have an existing factory action, then perhaps blueprinting would be a good idea....depends on the condition of your action. Also, ask your smith exactly what is included in "blueprinting" and what tooling he uses to achieve it.....some ways are better than others. The safe route is to use a custom action from a respected manufacturer....will probably cost similar to blueprinting, but will retain its value better.
