Blue Lapua Brass Boxes - note to Lapua: change the label glue!!

Accurate shooter has an article on the use of the Lapua blue boxes for loaded ammo. They are nice...but geeze Lapua get better glue that's easy off!!!!! IMHO

I don't need a science project to remove a label.

The glue is a horrible PITA. I found a heat gun (careful boys) and a scraper followed by some "Knocker-Off" light oil (it's a Kroil knock off but much less expensive) and a rag worked best.

And then some will complain about the labels coming off too easily. I'm thankful that you don't use the cardboard any more.

Berger boxes have labels that zip right off nice and clean. Since Berger is part of the same company now, maybe they can use those labels on the Lapua boxes

Just slap a paper printer label on and be done. I do understand though. I used to home brew alot and had the same issue when I reused some bottles. Scraping tough to remove adhesive is easier on glass than plastic though.

Blue painters tape and a sharpie. Use a lot of it in my reloading process both to label ammo and to label work in progress.

Why not request a 100rd box not a 50rd box with 100 brass in it. Labels?

Well I solved this finally.

I used a heat gun (type for heat shrink). The label curls up and as I am doing that I used a plastic scraper (putty knife). That removes all of the label.

The glue (made from the worse stuff on Earth. Like they use in horror movies) wipes off with paint thinner (good off or such should also work).

Last I cleaned up the box with alcohol.

I stick on the labels Lapua provides in the box and done.

Myself,I use GOOF OFF,my wife uses the boxes in her third grade class,has to be careful with labels,the new hornady boxes,paper,spray glue and dip in sparkly glitter
little kids love them,I use red,white and blue all mixed up!!
