Blakely GA Long 1000 yard matches

Shooters,

We are planning to again host the Whidden Gunworks/AIM Rifle Club 1000 yard matches again this year. There will be two matches and they will be April 17-19 and October 23-25.

We plan the same course of fire which will be 3x1000 yard matches on Saturday and 2x1000 yard matches on Sunday. We expect to have the range available for practice on Friday afternoon.

Match program will be forthcoming and will be emailed to interested shooters and posted on the Accurate Shooter Competition forum.

Those who desire further information please contact me at whiddengunworks@yahoo.com.

Shooters,

As we've all experienced, the world has been changing at a blistering pace recently. I'd like to take a minute to communicate our plans around our match.

First off, know that we hope to hold this match. We feel the prudent thing to do for right now is to monitor the situation and see what develops. We will be looking for guidance from sources such as the CDC as to how we should be conducting ourselves. It certainly won't do any of us any good to gather at a match and bring sickness to ourselves or other family and friends.

On Friday April 3 we will make a decision on whether we hold the match or not. We will communicate that word through email and also post the information on the Competition forum at AccurateShooter.com. This will allow 2 weeks for all of us to finalize our plans. Should we not be able to shoot the match entry fees will be refunded.

We appreciate your understanding of our challenges and we hope to see you on the range soon.

John like I have been telling people, when the restaurants, hotels, schools, and things open back up for travel. We should be good to go. So keep an eye open for that to happen right now I don't think it's a good idea.

Florida restaurants were ordered closed today. We cancelled our Manatee Club matches this morning.

Right now it is the responsible thing to do.

sadly I don't think your April match will be able to be held. hope I am wrong

Shooters,

Unfortunately due to current conditions we are going to have to cancel our Deep South Classic scheduled for April.

At this time our match on October 23, 24, and 25 is still on. We hope to see all of you at that match.

For those who would like, we will roll your paid registration over to the October match. Anyone who would like to be refunded just let us know and we will get that done. If we DO NOT hear from you we will roll your registration over to the October match.

Thank you for your understanding.

Late October is hunting season in Georgia. That's a good excuse to be there and do two things near the same time.

Sure hope your shoot then goes on.
