I second Buffalo Arms... Schutzen sucks.. It is not an energetic powder.. Swiss is the best.. I can not wait for Old Eynsford to come back..

Sure wish you lived a lot closer. I have 4# of Dupont FFG from the '70s that's still good. I'd give it to you! What little black powder shooting I do now is with Triple 7.

CORRECTION: Just looked and the bottoms of two of the cans are rusted. A can and a half is all that's good and it is Goex. Haven't used it (or even looked at it) in over 35-40 years...shouldn't have trusted memory.
Had a gentleman ask about it and embarrassed to have to tell him the condition. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

I've shot several pounds of Schuetzen through a .40 long rifle I built almost two years ago and have had no issues. I bought Swiss because it was supposed to be "better". On target I saw no difference in POI or group size, Swiss is a little cleaner but not enough for me to justify the difference in cost.

Plenty of powder out there now.

Check Sportsman's Warehouse if one is close by. Ours up here has
Pyrodex variants and Hodgdons Triple 7 ff. 3 and 4f are scarce.

This is where I get all of my black from. He is about 40 miles from me so I just call him then drive over to pick up.
