Bix'N Andy Tigger in BAT "M" Issue

Anyone ever have an issue putting a Bix and Andy trigger into a bat M trigger shoe? I have two model M's and the trigger will not fit in the shoe on either rifle. The trigger says 700 competition. The hole spacing looks dead on front to back, but I cannot insert the trigger deep enough into the shoe to make the holes line up. They are off just a touch and I learned a long time ago not to take a hammer to a trigger.

Thanks,
Tod

Call BAT and see what they say. I remember several years ago I had a BAT B and had the same problem with a Jewell trigger. A little polishing on the inside of the hanger with some sandpaper fixed the problem.

Pic on left shows holes not lining up. Hanger bottoms out on the ridge on trigger before they line up. Pic on left shows the ridge. Again.."COMPETITION" REM 700

I see the problem. It’s probably the hanger.

If you have access to a mill, just mill what ever it takes.

Or, you could grind it. The pins are what locates the trigger, so removing what ever it takes to get the holes to align in the vertical should be no problem.

Are the pin holes in the trigger and the pin holes in the hanger identical in length center to center? If so, lift the front of the hanger up and install the rear pin. Now lower the front of the hanger and see what is hitting. Take a file or dremel tool and relieve the hanger until it clears and install the front pin.

Yes ...holes are correct in length....I can install the hanger upside down and the pins fit no problem.
