Bix n Andy Trigger on a Barnard P

Has anyone fitted a Bix N Andy Trigger on a Barnard P action? What was needed to make it fit?
If no one gets back to you, PM Matt Paroz (Matt P in here) from LRP. He is a Barnard dealer across the ditch and has fitted B&As to Barnards a few times. I do know that the trigger hanger used moves the trigger to a different position, so the stock needs to be made to suit the B&A different position.

I tried. It won't work with the Barnard hanger for a Jewel trigger without removing a lot of material from the top bar of the BnA trigger if it will work at all. I had this exact thought, and John Whidden was kind enough to send me the Barnard hanger for a Jewel trigger to try with my BnA. I wish I could remember what the exact problem was. I should have taken some pics.

I wasn't aware Matt had fitted any, although he had heard rumours of Barnard sending an action to Andy Atzl to work his magic on. I'll happily upgrade both of my Barnards to B'n'A triggers if they hit the market next year.

I spoke with them about the project several times, no release date as of yet but they told me it's a go
Ta.
So far myself and Bernard have tried to contact BnA and zip response.
Do you have an "in" to contact them?

So,what is the problem with the Barnard triggers?

Nothing wrong with them per say, but I have previously owned a Bix'N'Andy trigger mated up to a Tikka T3 action and compared to the Barnard, the feel, crispness and weight of the B''n'A is on another level. Best trigger I've used and I'll certainly be keen to upgrade when the Barnard model is available, that to me would be the icing on the cake as far as the Barnard action is concerned.

The only problem with any aftermarket Barnard trigger is that there is literally no resale market for the factory Barnard P triggers, since every action comes with one. I have 3 Barnard's, so if I were to switch to B&A triggers, it'd cost me $1200+ and I'd have 3 really excellent "spares" just rusting away in a drawer somewhere. Honestly, I don't think I can attribute any lost points to the Barnard trigger, they always happen when I pull it at the wrong time...

I think the factory trigger is excellent (have several) I could be wrong but I dont think it's sling shooters who are driving this, more those who want a reliable, very light trigger option (F class, benchrest, etc.)

If you haven't used a Bix trigger, it is hard to understand. Barnard P triggers are very good, Bix is exponentially better even if that difference is quite small....

Eric,
I'm with Morgan on this. At one point, I had 2 Barnard Palma rifles. They are exceptional actions. The triggers are very good. If I had known that at some point I could put a BnA trigger in them, I would have not sold them. I bought one BnA trigger 2 years ago for an any rifle and quickly converted all my target rifles to use the BnA. It is difficult to describe, but my BnA trigger set at 1.5lbs feels half as light as any other trigger set at the same. The break makes my Anschutz smallbore trigger feel rough. I am now a certified trigger snob.

If that's the case, I will have to make sure I never try one. Wallet can't handle it...

Thanks will do.
