Bipods - which is your favorite?

Used Harris BRM-S for years but after getting an MDT CkyePod a few years ago that is my go to bipod. Very versatile. Have tried others as well like the Atlas and Warne but the CkyePod is my go to bipod.

Thanks for the reply.

I used a Harris, then atlas CAL, and now. I'm using a Cadex. The Cadex has been the best one so far.

I've heard a lot of good things about the CkyePod.

I have an accu-tac that is built like a tank. I don't participate in the disciplines under this forum category though, I use it for factory class RFBR and AR-Tac.
Which model accutac? I like how wide they are. I always thought it was preferable to have a wide bipod where the barrel sits well below the tip of an imaginary triangle the legs make. It's got something to do with lowering the center of gravity of the barrel.

You have to watch wide footprints for a PRS bipod. Sometimes you may be on a prop that is no wider than a 2x8 and if the footprint is too wide you will have issues. Another reason I like the CkyePod where you can adjust the width of your footprint.

That's a good point. I can see why they're so popular.

Have you ever tried a TBAC bipod?

I have the SR-5. I wanted the little bit of extra height of that model over the BR-4. I don't believe it is exceptionally wide like some of their models.

I do like the taller bipods. This one is worth a look.

Go to any PRS or NRL Hunter event, and 95% of the shooters are running Ckye pods for a reason. Sure, some of these other bipods will work.

Buy once, Cry once. Go buy a Ckye pod.

What do you guys think of rrs vs pic rail bipod mounts?

I've stuck with pic rail mounts for my bipods. Do rrs rails offer any stability advantage? My rifles have rrs rails on them, but I stuck with the pic rail because it's durable and easily replaced in the unlikely event one gets damaged.

I would strongly advise to use ARCA. It is super easy to move bipods and other items around. Most everyone shooting the sport uses ARCA.
Just curious, why arca vs pic? I have a lot of guns and, all of them, that came designed for attachments, came with pic rails.

I have a lot of arca stuff for photography so I am very familiar with the system but, I don't think it locks down any tighter than the pic accessories I have.

Tons of people say that they will only use arca and I am curious as to why.

For shooting PRS matches it makes it much easier to move the bipod back and forth and also to add a bag plate. Even if not shooting matches and you shoot off different things being able to slide the bipod back and forth is a nice option.

Thanks, that makes more sense to me. Most of the people that I have seen raving about arca are PRS shooters and I figured it had a specific advantage in that discipline....I just didn't know what it was.

Here is an example. Shooting off a barrel it will shrink your footprint. Some might throw a bag up there but this stage had prone before and after as I recall so this worked better. Just another tool in the toolbox for versatility.
