If you order the Harris from short action precision, they have a swivel lever that’s really nice also, and the bipod comes out to $130 shipped or so- lever included.Yep, add the KMW pod lock to the Harris and it will serve you fine.
The Harris is doing everything I need it to do. Was wondering if the adjustable leg angle on the Atlas was a desirable feature?Probably closer to $200 more for the Atlas but you have a Harris swivel already. What is it not doing that you need it to do?

It may not be the quality of Terry’s lever, but it’s definitely smaller.
What is this KMW you mention?Yep, add the KMW pod lock to the Harris and it will serve you fine.

I guess the forward angle on the Atlas would give a longer more stable plane in theory. The Harris is doing everything I need it to do. Was wondering if the adjustable leg angle on the Atlas was a desirable feature?

I have got knock off from Amazon with the Arca rail adapter and it locks up tight.Terry Cross of KMW was the original maker of the Pod Loc and then other knock offs followed.
Congratulations? LolI have got knock off from Amazon with the Arca rail adapter and it locks up tight.
28 bucks for the quality original!Congratulations? Lol
No not really. Shooting prone I can get low enough with the Harris. It would allow you to get lower if you wanted to but no more stable. Is it something you need?
You're correct, plenty of folks are quick to knock them. They have served me well so I have no reason to knock them. I was more wondering if the Atlas has anything better to offer. From the responses here it does not sound like they are worth the extra money. I'll stick with the Harris.A lot of people knock the Harris. Depends on what your doing. It's fast, it's stable, it's inexpensive. I believe Austin Orgain? top PRS shooter in the country uses one. I still have mine from 18 years. It has it's shortcomings, yes, angling forward can help in certain situations, a wider footprint can help with certain calibers. But, it doesn't disappoint.
You might have noticed that video in the link for the KMW part. That guy had a good suggestion on how to set the tension on it for field shooting. You're correct, plenty of folks are quick to knock them. They have served me well so I have no reason to knock them. Thank you all for you're input!
