Bipod suggestions

I'm looking for suggestions on a bipod for my Vudoo it's in a Greyboe Ridgeback stock, I'm using a Harris S-BRM right now mostly shooting kyl with it but would like to also try some nrl22 matches thanks.

For me the answer to this is an Atlas BT-46. Super simple, rugged and adjustable little bipod. You can get it with the mount you want and they are reasonably priced.
If you want it to be a little wider the BT-65 is nice But I preferred the BT-46. The original model BT-10 is great too but the legs rotate and that drove me crazy.

The other one I really like but have not used myself is the MDT GRND-POD. Great reviews and a nice price.

I have a BT10 and don’t know what you are referring to. Please elaborate, thanks.

The most solid bi-pod I have found for the $$$ is the Mystic-pod from EGW. The rifle sits down in the bi-pod rather than on top. Makes for much greater stability.

The real problem with that is that it doesn't fold. F-class style bipids are great and are rock solid but do not fold to the front or rear. Most guys in rimfire leave their bipids on and they help balance the rifle.

Great bipod at a great price though. I really like the Sinclair as well. I had one until I bought a Joypod. (I really like it but it could afford to be heavier)

Understand.

Atlas is a great choice for rimfire PRS.

The MDT GRND is nice as well.

I own both. The Atlas is able to pan is the only option the MDT doesn’t have. MDT GRND legs adjust faster.

Don’t over think your bipod. I run an Atlas on an ARCA rail for both rimfire and centerfire PRS/NRL.

Every match I’ve ever been to there’s a guy or two with the expensive fancy bipods that have way too many options as far as folding out and they waste time trying to come up with the right leg placement.

The Harris you have now is used by some national level PRS shooters…….in short they will work just fine. My only gripe with the Harris is if you have to pull your gun towards you. On a heavy rifle the legs will fold in. The other brands I mentioned both lock.

I have 3 of the Atlas(BT46-LW17,BT65-LW17 Gen 2 CAL,and a BT35-LW17 5-H),and with all of the options(spike feet, leg extensions, etc.)have over $1500 invested.I originally bought the 5-H for use on my 338LM(with the weight of the NF 7-35 ATACR,adjustable bag rider, etc. it weighs in over 15 lbs.)thinking it would beat one of the smaller bipods to death but have been mostly using the Gen 2 CAL(my favorite)and so far so good.If I had it to do over again I'd just get one of the Gen 2 CAL models.

That’s an interesting bipod especially for the $$
So far my favorite bipod is the elite iron but on a budget that looks like a great option.

Atlas CAL is a nice smaller option.

Accutac

No pan, just tilt

I think the newer atlas cal gen 2 and some others are good too. Not a fan of the little original ones.

I'm not sure of your overall need or budget but I'll offer that I just installed a UTG Recon M-LOC mount on my Ridgeback. ( I had one come on on my other Vudoo/ MTD chassis and liked it enough that I bought another for my Ravage. .) I like it better than the Atlas it replaced as it has a considerably higher ( side vs bottom) attachment point and wider stance. It's rock solid and VG quality too. It works well for my informal bench and prone shooting anyway. The only "downside" I've found is that it stays on the rifle/takes tools to remove. That doesn't bother me as I just fold it up out of the way when not needed . Of course, your needs may vary.
I don't have a picture of the Ridgeback to share but here is a recon mounted on my 360.

I had no idea that bipods could help with PMS. I learn something everyday from your Pedro.
My Goodness I didn’t either!…. Had I known I would have bought a pickup load!…. The divorce only cost me half the ranch and all my money!…..
