Anyone have experience running a TL2?

I am having a real problem with the bolt binding to the point that it simply will not work with a 10 round magazine, and a 5 round magazine can only be used with far more force that I fell comfortable with for fearing of damaging something.

I thought with the Savage type floating bolt head it would similar to a Savage, but even the worst Savage I’ve ever used is much easier to cycle the bolt. The bolt clears the magazine just fine, but loaded it will move the round about 3/8” and then stops and requires significant force to move the round.

Does it work fine without the mag in there? Sounds like you need some proper bottom metal/magazine fitting. They will run like butter

Mine runs slick as a whistle. Bottom metal problems? Sounds like the round is not hitting the feed ramp correctly.

Got 3 and all run great. Like mentioned above, mag, bottom metal issues.

An empty magazine clears the bolt without interference. The first stop at ~3/8" is before the bullet contacts the feed ramp.

If the action cycles while not feeding it is not your action. It is your DBM fit to the stock, or a magazine issue, try bending the front of the feed lips in a tad on the 5 rdr and see what happens. You may need to find someone to help.
Could be the latch is holding the rear of the mag too high, all these are easy fixes if you know or have someone who knows look at it.

I'm going to try the feed lip mods some more, but so far with five 5 round and five 10 round mags, the result has been the same with the mag as delivered. The mags are Accurate Mag brand, would original Accuracy International be possibly a better match to the action?

It's not the magazines. Don't mess with the feedlips yet. Look at the DBM & magazine latch (height) first, that sounds like your issue.

Accurate mags are fine, just like the AICS.

If not, call me and I'll buy it from you. I need another TL2, especially if it says Colorado on the side

What case are you shooting? What stock is the DBM in? Maybe a pic of the inletting may help.
I'd really try find a smith to help you.

I would also try shiming the bottom metal down with a couple of washers just as a test. One of these solutions will work.

I tried modifying the feed lip per recommendations from Big Horn with a slight improvement.

I also modified a Magpul mag to fit the feed port, and it made a major improvement.
