It was a good match at big piney today. Not sure of the turnout, but there had to be 25 plus shooters. Winds were light, and in your face. It was switchy enough to keep you on your toes. The flags were pointless, and the mirage was thick and difficult to get a read on. If you tried to shoot fast you were going to get caught, and a lot of guys did. I had to shoot on both sides of the tenring to get through each relay.
None of this bothered Travis Greer, who won open convincingly with a 398.
Dave Glick took second with a 396, and I got Third with a 395.
Israel (?last name?) shot well and won t/r, with Tommy Todd in second.
Tommy had to borrow some ammo to finish the match. He can tell you about that.
Also Travis Greer's boy Shane shot his first match today, and did well! That's right, another Greer to deal with!

I found that Mr Murphy is still going strong. I had decided to shoot all of my ammo and shot enough sighters to finish the match with my last round. Sure enough, half way thru the last string Murphy turned one of my primers upside down! I told Joe I was going to be a round short. I fired my 19th shot and someone handed me a 308 round. I was lucky enough to shoot an 8. Wouldn't you know it, I ended up tied with the feller that gave me that cartridge. Luckily he beat me on X count ! Thanks again Israel!

Fun day glad all the guys could be there. might need Joe and Tommy to shoot one short to give us a break...LOL
