Big Piney December 14, 2024 600 yard F Class match results

The weather for our December match was challenging to say the least, or more accurately just miserable. It was chilly, windy, rainy, somewhat foggy at times, and just unpleasant all around. Scores were definitely not as high as usual due to the wind which was briefly calm a very few times, but strong and gusty most of the time. Rain even blew under the firing line roof, and everything was pretty much soaked. As it was our last match of the season we also crowned our season champions (see my previous post about that). Perhaps the best part of the match was the excellent chili (provided by Vera Greer - Thanks!) we had in the warm, dry club house afterward!

Congratulations to the winners for overcoming the rough conditions, and frankly everyone else as well since just getting through the entire match was an accomplishment!

Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who helped set up and take down and run the match, especially in the conditions! Hope to see everyone next month!

Also, sorry for the crappy picture of the winners. I didn't realize that when I took my camera in the club house after being outside all day the sensor fogged up. I couldn't see it through the viewfinder, and the screen on the back was fogged up as well.
