Big Boom in the Buckeye

A very load boom shook Northeast Ohio this morning around 9am. Apparently it was heard as far away as NY state. Meteorologists are claiming it was a sonic boom coming from a meteor that could be seen passing through the sky. My house is at least 70 miles from where they show it passed and it felt like it shook the house. I’ve seen these periodically in my lifetime and don’t recall any sonic boom associated with any of them, unusual to say the least

My racing buddy from Ohio said it was louder than any sonic boom he ever heard, then several afterbooms...his first thought was Iraq retaliation. He said it was a meteor that crashed in Pennsylvania.
