BIB bullets

I use them in my 30BR. As good as you can buy. My Grandson uses the 95Grn Bibs in his 6X47 Lapua. They shoot 1/2" in a custom 600 Remington hunting rifle.

108 FB BIB's out of my 6br, excuse sloppy picture, 5 shot groups!

29.8 was all over the place, 30.0 did the trick in my rifle! 2nd round I took my time!

Hi All , Only ever run the 187s LRBR bullet but imo they are the best Long Range bullet made today .. Put it this way i have tried a lot of different brands and the 187 30 cal projectile from Randy shoots the smallest groups at 1000yds bar none ..JR..Jeff Rogers

I bought a quantity of BIB 108 6MM BT's from Dave Berg here on site and performed a quick OCW test with H4350 in my 6X47L and I have to say I like the bullets very well. Shot them in first match of the year sunday at 500 yards and was real tickled with my 5th place finish in windy conditions. They went where I wanted them to go. My barrel is a Bartlein .237 bore so I wanted a fatter bullet as i could not make Sierra 107's shoot in it. Will be calling BIB this week to place an order.

What twist barrel are you shooting the 187's from?

Just wondering, web site states nothing less than 11 twist. Just wondering if they will work in a 10 twist 308.

Dennis

Randy's 95 grain 6mm's shoot like a laser out of a 9" twist 6BR.

I am going to try the 95's, I have the 108's and they shoot like a laser!

Hi Dennis . I have had 7 barrels on the same cartridge since 2003 .. Twists of true 12.8 13.0 13.1 and 13.5..If it were my choice it would be for the 13.5.. Randy stays on the conservative side and says stay at his ideal 12 twist but also says they can blow up at 10 in twist .. The performance that i have found is IMO because they don't spin fast but i run them at a brisk pace so the light BCs don;t affect them too much in the wind .. My come ups are 19 minutes from 100 to 1000yds on a fresh chamber .. The best part of shooting 187s is there ability to hold low vertical dispersion on a match by match basis Here's a pic of a *nearly was* target i shot in a registered match in 2010 /.. The 7 shot goes 2.7ins but i suck at wind reading most of the time ..JR.. Jeff Rogers

Great info Dave. That is what I was looking for. When I tried the 108s previously I could not get them to group and I believe it was do to my free-bore being too short. I think I may have sold the remainder of my bullets to you. But heck, that was a while back. :)
Thanks again for the info.

Barry

I see the BIB 95 grn bullets are the best for a 6mm

Anyone care to share to share a recipe load info or starting point!

I am shooting a 6br, 6brx, and 6.0x47L

Thanks, Dennis

I am shooting the 108 Bib's in my 8 twist dasher. My free bore is .104 and I am using 33.3 varget with cci 450. I am jumping them about .007. These are the boat tail version. My best group is .383 at 300 yards.
Hope this helps Dave,
Vern
