Better Groups with Bergers? One for the .284 guys

Hi folks,

My current load for shooting longer range targets uses 185gr Nosler RDFs out of my 26" 1:8.2" twist 7x64.

Would I see an improvement in groups if I switched to an ~180gr Berger? (Or something else?)

Best wishes,

Scrummy

Pretty much what 10X said

In my current rifle, I had no luck with the Noslers. The 183 Sierra's
were hammering. Tested the Bergers along side the Sierras, and they
were right there. The extra cash for the Bergers though did not win me
over. I hope he next barrel from Brux repeats

I've noticed Berger on average do better at 600+ yards.
But out to 200 meters some Sierra bullets are just as accurate.

Berger flat base bullets are exceptional out to 200m, but too fast of a twist with a hot barrel nullifies their accuracy.

me thinks there are several variable
quality of the rifle
quality of the loading
quality of the shooter
distance of the target
size of the target
lots of bullets do well at long range with large targets
make the target smalller and a lot of those variables pop up
bergers do well at long range

Thanks, this is more what I was looking for.

I should have phrased my question better: Are Bergers likely to be more consistent than the Noslers?

I have only had luck with 55 gr noslers out of a 220 swift, everything else nosler has been shotgun groups basically, my 6xc would shoot bergers in the .25 range and noslers in the 1.5 range, if your shooting .1s .2's at 100 with noslers they should shoot good in f class, some people may shoot them good but just not me
