If you were to retire and your sole criteria of a place to live was to facilitate your benchrest shooting, where would it be?

A lot of BR in PA. Both short and long. I believe New York has a bunch but I wouldn't want to live there. I believe there is a lot across the country. You just need to research what your interested in. Short range, 600 or 1000 yard. Try the IBS site especially for short range. Then you have Reade and Williamsport for 1000 yard. Matt

For weather you would have to go south. Here in South Florida we have Manatee and Port Malibar. That's about it as far as I know. Port Malibar is more competition oriented. Manatee is an opportunity to shoot and practice more than compete.

I live just N. of Pittsburgh Pa. and with in a few hours in any direction you have Reade, Williamsport, Fairchance, Supershoot, Kane, Thunder Valley, Rayners, Harry Jones, Ridgeway for steel critters at 850 to 1000 and a whole bunch of sportsmans clubs for non sanctioned comp. from 1-500 group, score and groundhog. I am surer this list is not nearly complete. All these places are a day trip( a few would make for a long day ) but doooooable.
