Which constriction tubes are you using now, and are they Mobil Chokes or Optima's. I'm not sure patterning is the real reason for going to more open chokes with steel shot, it's usually a barrel damage risk that is cited for going to more open chokes with non toxic shot. I have a lot of Briley's and there are any number of good choke mfr's as well as the gun mfr's.

I had to change my post,What I need is a IC choke for a Benelli. What I have now are Benelli.

Two different types of Benelli too. Beretta Mobil Choke type and Benelli Cryo Choke versions. Sorry, I just can't seem to resist complicating things. :D

On steel chokes and with steel shot I never saw much of a change when hunting geese with T's or BB's I used IC but I put never seize or anti sieze on the threads, kind of messy but no problems getting them out... I never saw any difference when trying to choke steel use what you have... jim

If one is looking for tight patterns with the larger size shot typically used for waterfowl hunting, I would suggest one consider a Patternmaster choke. My Benelli Super Black Eagle will throw 95% patterns with #2 and BB steel shot. My brother's back bored 3 1/2" Browning will throw 100% patterns with a Patternmaster.

Give Carlson a call, I have a number of their chokes for my Benelli. When I lived out in that area, I would stop in their shop. They also fitted a set of choke tubes to my Rizzini over & under. Great service and very helpful.

If you don't like the mess of anti seize, you might try Door Ease
I have been using Briley tubes since about 1978 when Jess was still developing his tubes. I watched him machine my Perazzi TM-1 all the time wondering if I had made the right decision and was he going to screw it up.
Door Ease is a hard stick and you rub it into the threads. You can stick it in your pocket and it won't dirty anything up
This what Jess recommended for tube lube.

On the K-80, CG. impact and my Beretta's and Benelli's and Rem or two that when using steel it is a whole different ballgame than with lead under nice conditions. best out there is something that is made for the worst conditions never seize works that other stuff is fine for lead. If your in a blind in rain and snow and pounding the tubes with steel shot better get a proven thing, Track bolt on a D11 go in at 1100 lb. of torque and if you want to get them out you better have them coated with never seize or you will be burning them off..... I had chokes seize a little regular choke lube but never with never seize on the threads..... jim

An informative video from the developer of the Patternmaster choke. I have been goose hunting with a Patternmaster choke for 20+ years. With the less forgiving tighter pattern and shorter shot string you may find that you are not as good a wing shot as you thought. If you are a deer hunter that has to use buckshot, 100% patterns are typical.

At least the tooling and hardware is big enough that you (usually) can find it after it goes flying in to the mud under the snow.

Trulock did (may still) make the screw chokes for Benelli's sold here...maybe elsewhere.

I bought extended chokes from the for my SBE II and have been very happy with them over some good number of years of waterfowl hunting.
