best scope for a 1000 yard/600 yard heavy gun..benchrest

simple question
i have 15-55x's i use today..but looking at replacing them.
maybe able to make weight on the lite gun, but the real question,
no weigh issue what do you consider the best

They both are floating dots 1/8 with a Christmas tree reticle. Yeah probably. The size of the dot is pretty standard. I’ve gotten rid of scopes for being too small such as the Golden Eagle and a March with 1/32. To hard to chase after in Mirage.

If I'm reading it right, The Valdada Precision is 48 ounces.
That's a big girl !! Maybe better suited for the short game
in my opinion. I'd have to use a lessor weighted barrel
to make weight, with the long gun, which I'm not willing
to do. My 15-55 comps (DDR2) are just fine for the time
being. For Unlimited class in UBR, It could be a winner.
With the Tack Driver rules, Bart probably will be selling a
few.....

Mine has this terminator xtreme x1 reticle. Works very well. It is 1/16@52x and 1/8moa@26x for the center floating dot

I could be wrong but I think Bart shoots the same gun for LR as he does for short range and has weight allowance to spare. At the least, it seems to me his stocks are short range style stocks.

No its a different gun. Short range is limited to 10.5lbs and a terminator wont make that. His long range gun is only the same shape. Just goes to show the terminator makes weight fine on a 17lb gun

My main point was theres plenty of room for that heavy of a scope on a 17lb gun with a barrel that will win. He proves that not even getting to 17lb with the heaviest scope out there

Sightron straight 45x with ED glass: Light, holds, bright and clear. I like the 10th moa clicks as well. Not NF comp bright or clarity, but not far off.
